Quality Management Systems ISO 9001


The ISO 9001 standard specifies the general requirements for the development, implementation and improvement of business operation in order to meet customer requirements. The ISO 9001 standard can be applied by any organization that wants to improve its operation, regardless of size or field of application, and is the most prevalent worldwide management standard.

The globally recognised EN ISO 9001 standard represents a process and system-oriented approach to quality management and continuous improvement.

The EN ISO 9001 standard makes it possible for all kinds of oraganisation to institute a management system that is specifically suited to its needs and circumstances.

Quality management systems gives the basic conditions for customer and product demands, providing process performance and effectiveness with an emphasis on constant improvement.

Information Security Management Systems ISO 27001

ISO 27001 is acknowledged to be the “de facto” standard for information security. TUV AUSTRIA Group offers accredited audit and certification services of high value based on the requirements of the ISO 27001.

An ISMS (Information Security Management System) that has been constructed according to the requirements of ISO 27001, can be applied by any organization irrespective of its size, industry, or information. It can be applied by any organization that wishes to create an organized way through which the holistic management of the security of the information can be achieved.

TUV AUSTRIA INDIA, due to the importance of this sector, has created a separate Department, which consists of experienced personnel and undertakes the certifications of materials.
TUV AUSTRIA INDIA has already performed many projects, which refer to both shop as well as field inspection in low, medium and high pressure natural gas pipelines.

Occupational Health & Safety OHSAS 18001


OHSAS 18001 standard specify the general requirements for the establishment of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System in a company. They focus on the effective control of all of the occupational hazards and for all the interested parties (employees, visitors, providers, society), as well as the achievement of improvements in the total occupational health and safety performance of the company. These standards aim to cover occupational health and safety, not product or process safety.
A management system in accordance with OHSAS 18001 standard may be established, applied and certified by any organization, independently of their size and their activities.

The implementation and certification of an occupational health and safety management system according to OHSAS 18001 helps a company in:
  • the identification, assessment and management of all of the potential hazards via the implementation of risk reduction programs (on acceptable levels) and the minimization of the hazards in the work place environment

Certification Food safety management systems:


ISO 22000 ‘Food Safety Management Systems – Requirements for any organization in the food chain’ is the first International Standard that specifies the requirements for a food safety management system.

ISO 22000 may be applied to all types of organizations directly or indirectly involved within the food chain ranging from primary producers, crop producers and feed producers, to food manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, catering services transport and storage operators as well as organizations such as producers of equipment, packaging material, cleaning and sanitizing agents, additives and ingredients.

Τhe Standard ISO 22000 specifies the general requirements has the Food Safety Management System of an Organization to fulfill, focusing on the interactive communication among all the interested parties(organizations, suppliers, customers, authorities), the system management, the control of the hazards through the operational prerequisite programmes and through the HACCP plan and its continual improvement and updating.

The ISO 22000 is compatible with other management system standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and can be applied independently or integrated with these.

The implementation and the certification of the Food Safety Management System according to ISO 22000 enable the company on the following:
  • Giving confidence to the consumers and other interested parties that all relevant food safety hazards are identified and adequately controlled.
  • Demonstrating conformity with the mutually agreed customer requirements that relate to food safety in order to enhance customer satisfaction.

Welds Technology


One of the fields in which TUV AUSTRIA INDIA is active in Welds. These refer to:

  • Qualification of Welding Procedures and Welders: Aiming to the assurance of the quality and the security of the constructions, works and employees, TUV AUSTRIA INDIA qualifies welding procedures and welders according to international standards.
  • Welds inspection: Inspections are being performed by skilled and trained inspectors, who are qualified as Level II or III in all basic Non Destructive Testing methods (Visual, Ultrasonic, Radiography, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant).
  • Seminars: TUV AUSTRIA INDIA offers open and internal seminars in the following subjects: welds technology, design and symbolism of welds, failure analysis and prevention, corrosion prevention and protection.
